For example, foods that have a color ranging from indigo to violet are a source of magnesium; the color red stimulates the appetite; white is the color of simplicity and purification; green tends to eat more calmly and is the typical color of vegetables that contain many vitamins; those with digestive problems should instead focus on orange and yellow foods, which reduce abdominal tension and improve the production of gastric juices.

Lemons, oranges and peppers are rich in vitamin C, are antioxidant foods and partly stimulate the production of collagen. In oranges there are also anthocyanins which have an antitumor, anti-inflammatory and anticoagulant action.

Why Eating Yellow Foods is Good for Your Health

A study by The Happy Egg Co examined the reactions of about a thousand adults, recording the connection between the color of the food eaten and the state of mind. The result was surprising: the reactions were different depending on the color of the food, regardless of the type of food.

The people who participated in the test responded more quickly and instinctively after eating yellow foods than those of other colors. The conclusion was that yellow foods have a positive effect on our mood and make us happier. The scientific explanation would be to be found in a greater production of happiness hormones in the brain.

According to the principles of color therapy, each color and each nuance has a different impact on our mood. For this reason, it would be preferable to eat deep yellow foods in the morning (before the sun reaches its peak) because they would help to better cope with the day. It is good to remember that an energetic and colorful breakfast, with all the essential nutrients is essential within a healthy and balanced diet.

On the contrary, it would be better to eat cold yellow foods (such as pineapple, yellow beans and papaya) in the second half of the day.

The color of the food therefore has a strong impact on our body. Yellow is the color of the sun, it is a lively color, it evokes warmth and energy. In addition to encouraging a good mood, it helps concentration and stimulates creativity. Among the foods of this color we can mention:
